Skiers are 5

We went to Tahoe with friends for a ski-weekend again. The last time - about a month ago - Mats decided he was 1.5 years too young to ski since according to him skiiing was something people did when they turned 5 (see other blog). The fact that his friend Milo of the same age did go to skischool could not change his mind. That did however not stop him, so we heard from his pre-school teachers, from talking for days at his pre-school about that he went skiing while demonstrating his ski-moves to others (a sort of long silly jumps across the floor).

This time we did not expect much different, and he already announced in the car ride up that he wanted to ski when he was 5. But then on Saturday he saw Milo get ready for skiclass and especially after he saw the big 'jumpyhouse' on the snow he wanted to join too. So they held firmly each others hand as they walked down to the ski slopes...After a day of playing in the snow Mats walked up to us and declared that although he would only be a really good skier once he turns 5, he went down the hill today making a 'pizza' with his skis. And he smiled proudly!
