Interpretive spelling

Mats is fascinated with letters and words. He knows his letters and can write most of them himself (if you consider upside down and mirror script, that is). He understands that each word consists of certain letters. The concept that seems to be alluding him at this point, however, is that those letters belong in a given order. As long as there is an M, A, T & S somewhere on the page, according to Mats, it says "Mats". Perhaps an indication of his creative spirit?
