Ancient History (Mats' style)

Mats has been trying to grasp the concept of time. He's constantly asking what time it is (as if it means anything to him), and he has discovered "yesterday" as the catch-all phrase for things of the past regardless of how far gone (e.g.: "Yesterday we went to the gym" and "yesterday, when Mats was a baby..."). His most recent "discovery" is the value of the weekend. When I told him to get dressed because it was time to go to the gym, he said (okay, more like whined). "No! I don't want to go to the gym. It's not Tuesday - it's Saturday!" Ah, the weekend. How quickly they learn!
