Big Kid Bed

It's official: Mats sleeps in a big kid bed. The transition went remarkably smoothly - perhaps because it happened so gradually. Mats and I went to Ikea last weekend. He picked out a red bed that matches his chairs. It then sat in its flat pack in the hallway for a week. Every time we walked by, Mats asked "what is that?" Then "What's that? Mats' bed?". By the time we finally got around to disassembling the crib and assembling the bed (for which Mats was a HUGE help - give that boy a screwdriver and he is in heaven!), he was so ready to sleep in his bed, that he hasn't figured out that theoretically speaking, he could get up all night. Sssshhh - don't tell!
