Fearless

There is a BIG slide at the zoo. It's probably 18 feet high and one of those tube slides. I've seen kids 6 and 7 years old chicken out and not dare go down. To get to the top, you have to be able to climb a ladder, so I've never been concerned letting Mats climb up halfway to the top of the platform (where the ladder begins, because there was no way he could get to the top, right? Wrong. Today he made it to the top. And down to the bottom. Head first. He shot out the bottom so quickly, he ate sand. I thought he had learned his lesson. I was wrong - he thought it was FUN and went again. And again. And again.
