Beauty is in the eye of the beholder (take 2)

Two posts in one day? Doesn't happen very often, but this was a potentially life-defining moment that I want to get down on paper so that one day when Mats is a groundskeeper, gardner or an engineer working building dams and dikes in Holland, I can say "I knew it!".

Picture this: a beautiful summer day in San Francisco. We have just finished running in the park (we take turns - first I run, pushing him in the stroller, and then he gets to run, pushing the stroller. Nope, I don't get to sit in it). We are in front of the De Young museum - a beautiful modern/industrial building with gorgeous gardens and a nice fountain. Mats stops and says "Mooi!" (="Beautiful"). I turn around, thinking he could be referring to any of the previously mentioned sights, but Mats is crouched down, examining.....a sprinkler head.
