Like Father, Like Son

Happy Father's Day. One of the most gratifying (and irritating) aspects of parenthood is seeing yourself reflected in your offspring. Most people seem to think that Mats takes after Joost. The blonde hair and his impishness, for sure. He may have also inherited a gene that Joost in turn inherited from his father. It seems that our little Bacchus has a love for wine. While at brunch, our water was served in wine glasses. Exhibiting excellent oenophile form, Mats picked up the glass, swirled it a couple of times, and took a drink. The grape doesn't fall from the vine.
