The Monster

The joy of cousins - they can get away with giving nicknames like no one else. We met with the US side of the family in Oregon in July, and within 15 minutes, cousin Andrew said "Mommy, I love the Monster". And so was born Mats' new nickname (or secret identity?). The two of them had a ball the entire weekend - they were like brothers reunited jumping on the bed, and chasing each other through the house. And Alicia had all sorts of neat toys to share. And Grandpa never tired of holding Mats up so he could play with his new favorite toy: the lightswitch. The only downside was that Mats seemed a little bored when we returned to our house without all the attention!
